Ed Sheeran lançou, na última quinta-feira (7), o single “A Little More”, já disponível em todas as plataformas de streaming. A novidade chega acompanhada de um videoclipe que traz como protagonista o ator Rupert Grint, eternizado como Ron Weasley na franquia Harry Potter. A produção marca o reencontro da dupla, que trabalhou junta pela primeira vez em 2011, no icônico vídeo de “Lego House”.

Com uma pegada que mistura elementos do blues, humor sutil e letras afiadas, “A Little More” traz reflexões sobre coragem moral e autopreservação. A faixa é fruto de uma colaboração de peso: além de Sheeran, assinam a composição DAVE (parceiro em “Nothing On You” e “F64”), Blake Slatkin (Charli XCX, Kid Laroi), Cirkut (The Weeknd, Lil Nas X) e Johnny McDaid, colaborador recorrente do cantor. A produção ficou por conta de Slatkin e Cirkut.

O clipe, dirigido por Emil Nava — conhecido por trabalhos com Post Malone e Dua Lipa — dá continuidade à narrativa criada em “Lego House”. Nele, o personagem de Grint sai da prisão decidido a reconstruir sua vida. No entanto, sua tentativa de normalidade é atrapalhada por uma estranha obsessão: ele começa a ver Ed Sheeran em todos os lugares. A situação atinge o auge no dia de seu casamento com a personagem vivida por Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones), quando o noivo percebe que a igreja inteira está lotada de “versões” de Sheeran — inclusive sob o véu da noiva.
Antes deste lançamento, Sheeran havia apresentado “Sapphire”, parceria com o astro indiano Arijit Singh. A música ganhou destaque pela fusão cultural, com versos em inglês, hindi e punjabi, criando uma ponte entre a música ocidental e as tradições do sul da Ásia.
