A criadora da obra enviou um comunicado ao portal The Hollywood Reporter, expressando a alegria pelo sucesso da série e revelando estar ansiosa para a segunda temporada. “Nos esforçamos muito para tornar a série o mais autêntica possível e ver a reação do público tem sido emocionante. Mal podemos esperar para explorar ainda mais esses personagens e entregar a melhor segunda temporada de todos os tempos”, comentou a roteirista.

A série americana Sterling Point traz a história de Annie, interpretada por Ella Rubin, uma jovem nova-iorquina de 17 anos, criada pelo seu pai adotivo e pelo seu irmão gêmeo, Connor. Logo no início da trama, a personagem descobre que ela e seu irmão herdaram uma misteriosa ilha no Canadá e que esse lugar pertence à família da sua mãe, que morreu quando eles ainda eram bebês.
Quando Annie decide ir até a ilha, a protagonista conhece a jovem Ramona, uma adolescente de 17 anos. Juntas, as personagens descobrem que ambas possuem uma ligação tão forte que mudará a vida delas para sempre.
